About

Eric R Miller is a rural generalist and emergency doctor, clinician-researcher and health technology co-founder working in digital health and translational medicine. He is Clinical Lead at the Buderim Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, where he studies ambient AI clinical documentation, and holds the academic title of Associate Professor in the School of Health at the University of the Sunshine Coast, where he works with Prof John Adie on urgent care research and supervises medical, nursing and paramedic students.

He began his career as a management consultant with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, then led enterprise sourcing and contract negotiations for Rio Tinto, Lloyds Banking Group, Aviva and Investec. He led the COVID Virtual Hospital for the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (2020 to 2021), which cared for more than 2,400 patients at home, and earlier built insurer-funded virtual care at Doctor Care Anywhere in London. He has published on virtual care, healthcare process modelling and wellness systems. He is co-founder and Chief Medical and Scientific Officer of Innovarius Corp, whose veterinary therapy platform is in clinical use with a human application in development, and corresponding author on its preclinical programme with the University of Notre Dame (Indiana). He is co-founder of Living Centerline, a US digital health company, and Co-Deputy Chair of RACGP Specific Interests Integrative Medicine.
